The past week has been pretty busy for me. I've been trying to balance my daughter's birthday plans with completing 007: Nightfire, which I did not expect to be as difficult as it was. I stayed up three nights in a row until 3:30 am to get the review done, then I went to the zoo all day with the family. I asked my daughter what her favorite animal of the entire trip was. She said the train, as in the little train we rode around the zoo at the beginning of the day. She's definitely my daughter. The new review this week is Trigger Man for the Playstation 2. Comes out at 6:30pm tonight. Make sure to go watch and support, if you could. Do yourself the favor of watching the review rather than playing the game. It's terrible.I'm currently working on a review for Mouse P.I. for Hire. Been enjoying it so far and will be recording gameplay sometime this weekend. We have a schedule down below of upcoming releases, so if you're wondering what I've been up to, you can see our newest upcoming reviews along with their release dates. With that said, I'm tired and would like to take a nap. I won't, but I'll tell myself it could happen. Have a great week!

I Don't Know Anything

'I Don't Know Anything' by Mad SeasonThe 90's were a special time in entertainment. The music coming out of Seattle had a lot of parallels. Pearl Jam happened to be at the center of a lot of it. You had Temple of the Dog, which was a combination of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden members, and then you had Mad Season comprising of vocalist Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), guitarist Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), drummer Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees) and bassist John Baker Saunders. Having loved Temple of the Dog's one album, I gave Mad Season's singular album a try.In my opinion, the standout song is from their 1994 self-titled album, 'I Don't Know Anything'. It's a straight-forward rock song with no frills, no solos, just the main riff. Somehow, they make it work better than it should with Layne Staley's signature vocals and Mike McCready's simple, but effective riff, it's my favorite song on the album and one significant to rock history as the only recorded side project Staley ever worked on (besides the short-lived group 'Class of '99' for the 1998 movie 'The Faculty') before his death in 2002.

The Dirty Dozen (1967)A group of hardened criminals are hand picked and selected one by one to go to war for their country, known as the Dirty Dozen. These men have the fortune (or misfortune) to partake in "Project Amnesty". This operation sees them travel to Nazi-occupied France in World War II to kill off as many high ranking officers and generals as possible. Whoever is left alive at the end of the film is granted amnesty. This is my favorite war flick and one of my all-time favorite films. The first half of the film is done similarly as Full Metal Jacket where the first half of the film is basic training while the other half is focused on war fighting. With noteable cast members such as Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine (played Mermaidman on Spongebob), Charles Bronson, and Jim Brown. The latter was one of the greatest NFL running backs ever and was a surgeon in the first season of MAS*H, my favorite TV show. I don't want to spoil the film, so I won't talk too much about it. The Dirty Dozen comes highly recommended from me!
